There are boating opportunities for all. You can even rent kayaks and canoes from local recreation shops. For the more serious, there are planned tour guides and lessons available locally as well.

Tours of Nehalem Bay, the wildlife refuge waterways of the Columbia River, the shores & rock islands of the Pacific Ocean and more are available. Into competition? There is an annual kayak race in the Ilwaco,Washington area, just a short drive north of Astoria. For those who just want a little paddling fun, stop by any local rental shops and paddle around the Necanicum River!
